Monday 11 January 2021: This 2021 event kicks off on 8 February and ends on 13 February. Yes this World Frocktails event runs for seven days with themes each day and there’s also a charity raising raffle to this event.

Who is hosting World Frocktails?

Topstitch Studio and Lounge, the Hosts of the sewing community Topstitch Makers.

World Frocktails is a week of online event filled with sewing community inspiration ranging including panel talks, sewalongs,  cocktail and mocktail sessions with community leaders from 8-13 February 2021. You can buy your ticket and get involved in the live sessions, watch each recording and refer to each blog post from each special guest. The schedule is now available but don’t be surprised as it continues to grow with people from the sewing community. Every live event will be recorded for ticket holders to re-watch at their convenience.

Topstitch Studio and Lounge are the hosts of the sewing community Topstitch Makers and creators of World Frocktails. They’ve chosen three charities to support – Build a Nest, Textile Exchange and Global Fund For Women as they support sustainable practices, ethical working conditions, women’s rights, social and racial justice. Anyone who purchases a $2 or $5 charity raffle ticket is entered to win a bundle of sewing prizes. All sales of raffle tickets will be split evenly between the three charities. 

World Frocktails background

After our wonderful Frocktails party in 2019 we started planning our 2020 Frocktails right away. We were all set to rent a beautiful space for for 2 days. Rather than simply have a party that people show up to, we dreamed of a fantastic few days for people to get to know each other through talks, some DIY sessions and pampering sessions. We were not able to do our in-person Frocktails though, which is why we are now hosting one online!

World Frocktails will be a week of online events filled with sewing community inspiration ranging from panel talks to sewalongs to cocktail and mocktail sessions with community leaders 8-13 February 2021. Tickets to attend are $35 for an all access pass or $25 for Topstitchmakers members.

It will be a combination of recordings, live sessions and collaborative community engagement. Every live event will be recorded for ticket holders to re-watch at their convenience. See the FAQ page for more info.
