Leesa talks about how she grew up in a wonderfully hippy, crafty family where creativity was
a way of life. As she tells us her mum, Paula, was one of Australia’s very first handmade soap makers — long before it was cool. As a family they were a true ‘market family’, helping her grow a handmade empire with heart.

Sewing Adventures was born soon after — a beloved learn-to-sew studio in Brisbane, where I had the joy of teaching thousands of kids and adults how to sew, alongside some amazing contract teachers. It was a space filled with inspiration, laughter, and a love of making.
