Tuesday 1 July 2025: Claire-Louise Hardie published Clone your Clothes this year!

Recently Claire-Louise cloned a Balanciaga garment stored at the V&A Museum as her Masters in Pattern Technology and Garment Technology project at the London College of Fashion from 2015.

One of Claire-Louise’s toiles made it into the exhibition!
Seven metres of fabric for the cape was used.

As a costumer, cloning clothes is an important skill that has kept Claire-Louise working is theatre all her life. The aim of cloning is to create clothes that suit the production and last for the whole run of every show she works on.

It’s been a decade since I met Claire-Louise in Sydney through a Twitter conversation. We’ve kept in contact via social media and when she’s visited Sydney.

This links you to the video about cloning tools to use. Or use this link.
This is the Clone your Clothes worksheet pdf.

[…] I’m so thrilled to announce that my podcasting debut is now live over on Sew Organised style. […]

Hi
I can’t access the pdf link for the worksheet it says I need permission. Also the website given in your book to access the website doesn’t seem to work either. Any ideas? Thanks
