Youngmin Lee Bojagi

Tuesday 7 May 2024: Youngmin Lee share her traditional Korean handstitching techniques for the Making Zen Online Retreat on the 27 to 31 May 2024. This is a free online event.

Bojagi jogakbo handstitching is a way of adding happiness to the piece you are working on to bring joy to people who see it and being joy to the person who receives it as a gift.
You also receive just as much joy while you take your time to enjoy slow stitching.

Here’s the link to the Making Zen Online Retreat 27 to 31 May 2024.

28 years ago, after Youngmin trained in clothing, textiles and fashion design in Seoul, South Korea, she moved to the United States and she has continued to use her training in traditional Korean techniques of Bojagi and Korean wrapping skills. The skills she learnt and used in the Korean textiles industry is what we are able to get a glimpse of in Youngmin’s workshop.

You can find Youngmin Lee on Instagram, on her website and each year she runs a Korean textile tour.
