Tuesday 1 August 2023: Cathy of CathySewsStuff on Instagram gives us an insight into her sewing and local stitchers club SouthSea Sewn.

Recently Cathy culled her clothes (donated to a clothes swap) and is curating styles to make sure they meet her needs and allows her to sew to her heart’s content.

She discusses the influence SewOver50 followers have on her clothing/pattern decision making.

As well as CathySewsStuff on Instagram, you can find me SouthSea Sewn. This is the name of mine and Karen’s @thedistractedsewist stitch club founded not long after lockdown. We meet once a month in a gorgeous creative space, full of sculptures and art on the walls. We welcome all stitchers: sewing, knitting, crochet, embroidery, felting, etc. The aim is to connect people of like minds, have a lovely time, and also to help people that might be stuck on a project.

The latest meet up included the second part of our bucket hat sewalong!
